    We moved into a new house that had propane logs in the fireplace and did not throw out any heat. So, we removed the unit and capped the line. When the electric heat unit arrived, we took it out of the box, inserted it in the fireplace and plugged it in. 5 minutes and we had a beautiful flame and it heated our living room. Easy Peasy and it looks great.
